Scholarship from Minister of Science and Higher Education in Poland to outstanding young researcher

200 outstanding young researchers received scholarships from the Minister of Science and Higher Education in Poland.

Minister of Science and Higher Education scholarships are awarded to outstanding young researchers who conduct high-quality research and have impressive scientific or artistic achievements on an international scale.

„1853 applications have been considered in the competition for the scholarships for outstanding young scientists” – reported the Ministry of Science on its website.

The scholarship may be awarded to a person carrying out scientific activity, below the age of 35 at the time of submitting application. Scholarships for outstanding young scientists are awarded to young researchers employed at universities, institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences and research institutes. Applications are submitted by organizations employing the young researchers. The evaluation includes scientific and artistic achievements of the candidate, the level of research and art, awards and participation in international projects.

Wojciech Waleczek employed as an University Professor at the University of Silesia in Katowice has got the above mentioned scholarship.

He has got the highest (1st) grade among 1853 candidates from all the scientific and artistic fields!
