In 2025, pianist and academic Wojciech Waleczek was honored with the Bronze Medal “Meritorious for Polish Science – Sapientia et Veritas.” The distinction recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development and promotion of Polish science.
The medal was presented on behalf of the Minister of Higher Education, Marcin Kulasek, with the ceremony conducted by Lech Dobrzański, President of the Signum Association of Gliwice Youth. The event highlighted Waleczek’s long-standing achievements in both artistic and academic spheres, underscoring his influence on Poland’s cultural and educational landscape.
