On 23 and 24 April 2026, Wojciech Waleczek presented his original concert project “Liszt meets Queen” in Lithuania, combining the music of Franz Liszt with iconic songs by the legendary rock band Queen.
The first recital took place on 23 April at the Kaunas Philharmonic Hall and attracted a full house audience. The concert was enthusiastically received, with the audience rewarding the artist with a standing ovation.
The second performance was held on 24 April at the Ignalina Cultural Centre, where the audience also responded warmly to the unique combination of Romantic virtuosity and rock music.
“Liszt meets Queen” is an original musical project exploring surprising connections between the virtuoso tradition of the 19th century and the energy of contemporary popular music. The programme has been presented internationally and continues to attract audiences with its innovative artistic concept.
