Liszt meets Queen is a unique and innovative piano recital project that brings together the virtuosic piano tradition of Franz Liszt with concert piano transcriptions inspired by the legendary rock band Queen.
Franz Liszt himself revolutionised the piano recital and created a tradition of paraphrase and transformation, reimagining well-known musical themes as highly sophisticated concert works. This programme continues that tradition by connecting Liszt’s original masterpieces with piano transcriptions inspired by Queen’s iconic musical language.
