On 26 April 2023, there was held a ceremony in the vestibule of the Silesian Voivodship Office, during which national decorations were awarded to persons of merit in various fields of social life, professional work, social activity, meritorious for the Independence.
The event was hosted by the Deputy Governor of Silesia, Robert Magdziarz, who presented the orders and distinctions to the honoured persons.
During the celebration, Wojciech Waleczek received the Silver Cross of Merit from the President of the Republic of Poland, and the Bronze Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
